Saturday

A movie date with the boy. We watched Angels&Demons. I've already booked 2 tickets way before the premiere in Singapore.
Do you know what's the 'best' part?

When I collected the tickets at the ticketing counter yesterday,
the guy asked, "So you have booked 4 tickets right?"
Me - "HUH?! No, I only booked 2 tickets..."
Guy - "I'm sorry, but the system states that there were actually 4 tickets being purchased under your name..."
In my mind, "OH SHIT! I actually booked TWICE!"
How idiotically kental can I be? Hahaha... I know...
Guy - "Its okay. I'll try to sell this 2 tickets for you. Just give me your contact number and I'll call you if I get to sell it."

Luckily there were people who bought it, and I got my $20 back! If not, $20 gone just like that. TSK.

The movie was a-okay. It did not really follow the book. Throughout the whole movie, my mind kept thinking and remembering back what I've read and tried to relate it to the movie. How irritating! The boy asked a few questions in which I'm not able to answer, not because I don't know the answer, but because I don't know how to explain! Hahah...
He was like "What kind of a tutor are you?"
ISH... Sorry la!

We headed down to Singapore Flyer to watch the motorcross thingy. It was congested with people, the malays. Oh wells, I'm not surprised. Overall, the crowd sucks! Even the hosts, so not entertaining.

Late dinner was at Burger King Marina Sq. We didnt really get to walk around the mall much because most shops were closing.

AND AND.... I didnt get my BEN&JERRY cookie dough! :(

AND AND AND... I can still taste the horlicks+maltesers from ICE CREAM CHEFS!

Make me a happy happy girl and fulfill my cravings... please.....

Last Wednesday was a random day for me. I decided to go to town and spend time with myself and did some retail therapy.
I was feeling shitty and moody for the past days, so the therapy did help.
It feels so damn therapeutic! Within 2 hours, I've spend over $100+. I got most of the things in my shopping list - Oxford flats, 2 dresses, 2 basics long tee.
Oh yes, I did shop something for the boyfriend too. I wouldn't be so bad not to buy anything for him, right? Haha!
I want to do this again!
P.S. You'll be my shopping khaki next time, I promise.
~I love you~

All the results turned out to be normal. There is no cure for my illness. I just have to find out for myself what I am allergic to and stay away from it forever. Its really hard. One moment, no spots, no nothing. Another moment, red spots, swelling, etc attacked as they pleased. Eventhough they increase my dosage to a more stronger medicine, it didn't really take effect on me. The red spots are so evil, no amount of medication helps if it really insist on staying on my skin. Damn u!

*These are the BIG UGLY RED spots on my thighs and arm*
*Fucking obvious on a fair skin*

Urticaria - Urticaria also called nettle-rash or hives or wheals in a common language, simply means itching with rash. Medically, urticaria may be defined as skin eruption, which is allergic (or non-allergic) in origin and is characterized by profound itching, red circular or irregularly shaped eruptions on any part of the body. Urticaria is an allergic or non-allergic immunological disease, shown on the skin. Characteristically the skin eruptions are erythematous, raised above the skin level, with intense itching and usually worsened by itching an with slight local warmth. It can be acute or chronic; largely having a tendency to recur frequently for many months or years.
The most annoying concern for the sufferer is intense itching which, when uncontrolled makes the patient restless and impatient. At times, the eruptions and itching may lead to disturbance at work and sleeplessness.
Angioneurotic edema (ANO, also called as Giant Urticaria) is a variant of urticaria which simply means large (massive or giant) urticaria with severe swelling (edema) of the skin at a deeper cellular level. When this involves respiratory organs such as larynx, it may lead to suffocation and to a medical emergency. The lips may get terribly swollen with ANO.

I have been having Urticaria since 4 years ago. It all started when I realize there were red spots on my arms, legs and body. At first I thought it was just normal mosquito bites or food allergies, but it did not wear off for days and even weeks. I kept applying calamine lotion but the spots were still there, even new ones started to pop out. It got worst one day, when I woke up from my afternoon nap after school, and realize my body felt hot and itchy all over. I went to the mirror, shock of my life when I saw my whole body, legs, hands, everywhere, including my face were all red! Total hideous! I went to see my family doctor, he jabbed me to ease the itchy-ness and redness. He prescribe me with medicine in which I have been depending on it for the 4 years. The hives would always attack anytime, usually 2-3times in a week.

Recently, this infection have gone worst then ever! It attacked anytime of the day, EVERY SINGLE DAY! What's worst is that I've developed swollen cheeks and lips! How horrible! The medicine which I've been prescribed to since 4 years ago did not take effect on me anymore. No matter how many pills I ate, those red bulges won't wear off. Its really depressing to be going through this everyday, having to look at the once almost perfect skin, turning into ugly, hideous red pop-ups skin. I do not have enough sleep everyday as every night I have to deal with the unbearable itchyness. I cried almost every night knowing that there's nothing that can be done to treat this infection. I kept complaining to my boyfriend almost everyday, though I know he can't do anything to stop this. Even now, I couldn't wear shorts, skirts, dresses everytime I go out. All depends if the red spots subsides for the day, den I would be able to wear all those. If not, I have to wear long pants and long shirt just to cover up. I hate it!

I went to the polyclinic, to get a referral letter to see a specialist. I went to see a dermatologist at Changi General Hospital. That is when I knew I have Urticaria(hives), in which I think it has gone to chronic stage as it recurs frequently for years now. The dermatologist did a more intensive test to determine the possible causes of this infection. I've yet to receive the results. There is no form of treatment to treat this infection. The new medicine which was given is a much stronger one than the ones I used to take. At first, the medicine did help for maybe two weeks or so, there were lesser, smaller red spots, BUT not for long. It make a huge attack again this past few days. No amount of pills that I ate helps to lessen the itchyness and the spots.

I don't know when this will ever stop. It might not. I might have to go through this for many many years to come. I have survived for 4 years, but I can't bear to have to go through this any longer. It has been very depressing for me. Really.
